Interested in learning more about how to support our nation's most vulnerable young people to work, learn and earn this summer and next year?
Join YTFG, Workforce Matters, and our partners at The Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions, Communities for Just Schools Fund, Economic Opportunity Funders, and Grantmakers for Thriving Youth for a funders-only virtual town hall to discuss field and philanthropic solutions for what youth summer jobs and service corps programs can look like in a COVID world.
Together, we will explore how these programs can continue to provide needed avenues for income, employment, job training, and supportive services. Hear what communities are considering and planning, and explore the role of philanthropy in supporting the economic stability and recovery of young residents and workers.
Panelists include:
- Cynthia Figueroa, Deputy Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, and Patricia Blumenauer, Vice President of Philadelphia Works
- Kisha Bird, Director of Youth Policy at CLASP, and Thomas Showalter, Executive Director of the National Youth Employment Coalition
- Monique Miles from The Aspen Forum for Community Solutions, Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund
