Workforce Matters is accepting nominations for our Steering Committee now through December 3, 2021. Steering Committee members serve two-year terms and provide oversight and strategic direction for the activities of the Workforce Matters network. Please consider applying to serve if you're interested in:
- Suggesting topics for future learning opportunities and events
- Getting to know a small group of peer grantmakers from across the country
- Helping us develop a long-term vision for the future of Workforce Matters
- Participating in bonus, small-group learning activities as a part of our quarterly meetings
To serve on the Steering Committee, you must be a grantmaker who works for a private, independent, family, or corporate foundation; a corporate giving program; a community foundation or other grantmaking public charity; operating foundation; funder collaborative; giving circle; or United Way.
We value diversity, equity, and inclusion and strive to build a Steering Committee that brings a wide range of perspectives and experiences to our work. To further broaden our membership, we encourage people of color, men, LGBTQ+ individuals, grantmakers from midwestern, mountain, and pacific based philanthropies, and grantmakers with lived experience in other communities prioritized by workforce development initiatives to consider applying.
You are welcome to self-nominate or nominate a colleague.
Please email us if you have any questions.
