This spring, Workforce Matters will launch a new peer-to-peer learning lab facilitated by Clair Watson Minson of Sandra Grace LLC to serve as a community of practice for grantmakers working to implement ideas and strategies inspired by A Racial Equity Framework for Workforce Development Funders.
This four session series will provide space for grantmakers to learn about and apply the framework of targeted universalism to addressing structural inequities through workforce development. We will adopt an "Action-Reflection-Action" methodology of learning to strengthen our skills and competencies for the work of advancing equity and justice.
The lab will be limited to no more than 16 participants so we have the opportunity to build a trusted community with rich exchanges. We are seeking grantmakers with a diverse range of experiences, geographies, philanthropic organizations, and backgrounds who can commit to and actively participate in all four conversations:
- Thursday, April 7, 2-3:30 pm ET
- Thursday, April 21, 2-3:30 pm ET
- Thursday, May 5, 2-3:30 pm ET
- Thursday, May 19, 2-3:30 pm ET
In addition to the four group sessions, we are excited to be able to offer two 30-minute coaching sessions per participant to advance individual learning and action. These sessions are required and will be scheduled by mutual agreement with our facilitator.
Space is limited! Please apply by March 18 to be considered.
Selected participants will be notified the week of March 28th.
Please note that participation in Learning Labs is limited to qualifying grantmakers.
