This summer, Workforce Matters will launch a new peer-to-peer learning lab facilitated by Surabhi Jain of Surbahi Jain Consulting. This learning lab will serve as a community of practice for grantmakers interested in learning how to practically apply the principles of Trust Based Philanthropy.
This new learning lab will focus on the six core practices of Trust Based Philanthropy and will be accompanied by individual coaching for each participant. Each session will focus on one or more core TBP practices and will include discussion, peer learning and practical application. Sessions topics will include:
- What is Trust Based Philanthropy, the six core practices and common misconceptions
- Reframing your Funding (funding timelines and paperwork requirements)
- Relationship Building (transparency and homework)
- Supporting your grantees (feedback and additional resources)
- Trust Based Philanthropy practice implementation
The lab will be limited to no more than 16 participants to ensure that we can include a diverse range of experiences, geographies, philanthropic organizations, and backgrounds and also have the opportunity to build a trusted community with an opportunity for rich exchange. We encourage at least two team members from each organization to apply. We are seeking grantmakers who can commit to and actively participate in all six conversations in addition to individual coaching. Sessions will be held twice/month in June, July and August for 90-minutes. Session dates and times are listed below:
- June 4 @ 2pm – 3:30pmET [11am – 12:30pmPT, 12pm – 1:30pmMT, 1pm – 2:30pmCT]
