The State of Economic Well-Being: Employment & Workforce Development

Join Youth Transition Funders Group for the third installment of a 3-part series focused on the state of economic well-being for young people. This session is co-sponsored by Workforce Matters, and participation is limited to grantmakers. Registration is required.

During this session, speakers will weigh in on what it means for young people farthest from opportunity to build a livable and lovable working life, including access to the wages, benefits, and sense of meaning that they need to thrive.

Speakers include the following, as well as a senior official from the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division (to be announced): 
  • Martha Ross, Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institute
  • Mary Ann Haley, Executive Director of the National Youth Employment Coaltion
  • Eric Barra, Founder of Las Fotos Project and CEO of The Euclid Company
  • Michael O’Bryan, Founder of humanature, Distinguished Resident Fellow Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation, and founder of the Wealth + Work Futures Lab at Drexel University
