Does your foundation make grants to support workforce development in Native or Indigenous communities? Are you interested in expanding collaboration with and support for Native and Indigenous communities? Connect with Workforce Matters and peer grantmakers to share strategies and lessons learned as well as new ideas.

Career Coaching Grantmaking Discussion

Does your foundation invest in career coaching strategies? Interested in connecting with peer grantmakers to compare notes, share lessons learned from your investments, and discuss how to sustain and scale coaching?

Steering Committee Nominations are Now Open!

Workforce Matters is accepting nominations for our Steering Committee now through December 3rd. Steering Committee members provide oversight and strategic direction for the activities of the Workforce Matters network. Please consider applying to serve if you're interested in:

  • Suggesting topics for future learning opportunities and events
  • Getting to know a small group of peer grantmakers from across the country
  • Helping us develop a long-term vision for the future of Workforce Matters
  • Participating in bonus, small-group learning activities as a part of our quarterly meetings

To serve on the Steering Committee, you must be a grantmaker who works for a private, independent, family, or corporate foundation; a corporate giving program; a community foundation or other grantmaking public charity; operating foundation; funder collaborative; giving circle; or United Way. You're welcome to self-nominate or nominate a colleague. New America is seeking a senior program manager to join the Center for Education and Labor team, supporting the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship. PAYA is a multi-year, collaborative initiative led by New America that supports the success of efforts in states and cities to expand access to high-quality apprenticeship opportunities for high school age youth. Strada Education Network has launched a $10 Million Beyond Completion Challenge in partnership with the Taskforce on Higher Education and Opportunity.
