Tell us a little bit about your background and why you joined Workforce Matters
I’ve spent 19 years in municipal government, focusing on human and community service programs. My expertise lies in public workforce systems, where I have a strong track record of implementing federal grants, advancing data analytics and equity, improving job quality, and supporting individuals facing barriers to education and employment. Currently, I serve as a Senior Program Officer for the AIR Opportunity Fund, leading a grant portfolio centered on workforce development and community health and well-being. I joined Workforce Matters because its mission resonates deeply with my belief that the most effective solutions come from those closest to the challenges—a philosophy that guides my approach to supporting impactful, community-driven initiatives.
What is something people might not know about you?
In addition to my main role, I have a side gig as a certified professional coach. I run my own coaching business, working with entrepreneurs, transitioning professionals, and executives to help them unlock their potential and grow into confident, effective leaders. Coaching allows me to empower others to make transformative changes in their careers and lives.
What is something you are looking forward to this year?
One of my personal goals is to take my sons, who are 9 and 10, to every state before they turn 18. We had to pause our travels during COVID, so I’m excited to get back to our pace of visiting 2-3 new states each year. I’m looking forward to resuming our family adventures and making memories in new places together.
