About The Allstate Foundation

Monique Tinglin, Manager, The Allstate Foundation Social Impact & Strategic Programs

The Allstate Foundation works to help communities thrive. Our focus areas are empowering youth through service, disrupting the cycle of relationship abuse, and increasing access to thriving-wage careers. We also amplify employee and agent volunteerism, support communities before and after disasters and develop nonprofit leaders and board members through The Allstate Foundation’s Nonprofit Leadership Center.

Why does The Allstate Foundation support Workforce Matters?

We support Workforce Matters as part of our investment in expanding access to thriving-wage careers.

Like Workforce Matters, we believe empowering workers, learners, and job seekers requires coordinated, cross-sector action. Workforce Matters convenes funders to share insights and align strategies to drive meaningful education and employment outcomes.

What is something The Allstate Foundation is excited about in 2025-2026?

We've been continuing to focus on the power of convening by bringing people together to spark innovation, exchange ideas, and co-create solutions. This will remain a central theme for us in 2026.

That’s why we’re proud to support and sponsor gatherings like the upcoming Workforce Matters: Further Together conference. Convenings like this don’t just inspire, they catalyze action. They help leaders connect across sectors, surface critical insights, and build collaborative strategies.

Investing in spaces that bring people together isn’t just a “nice to have,” it’s essential.

What’s something in The Allstate Foundation's workforce grantmaking you’d like others to know about?

Over the past few years, The Allstate Foundation has been evolving to adopt a trust-based philanthropy model. To us, this means centering the needs of the nonprofits and the communities they serve and providing holistic support that goes beyond grantmaking. We’ve worked to increase the number of general operating and multi-year grants we provide, while also being responsive to where we can best meet our partners’ needs, whether that be employee volunteers, capacity building through our Nonprofit Leadership Center or hosting convenings for the sector. This approach has helped us build stronger, more responsive relationships with our partners and enabled deeper, more meaningful impact.
